A great pub with good beer and a real kitchen! If you ask my 90-year-old mother about the Foresters, she will just say “the food is always good” and she’s right. Pubs where the food is prepared from scratch, are rare and the Foresters is a great example. That, coupled with the good beer, great service, great coffee and the country pub welcome for dogs in the bar make this a must visit pub if you are in the area.

A great country pub...

The Foresters is a great country pub located in the middle of the woodland between Church Crookham and Aldershot. Decorated with wood taken from the plentiful trees around the building, the place steeped in history. The Foresters was first licensed in 1857!

The perfect place to stop after your woodland walk!

A pub with great food

The Foresters proudly remains a friendly country pub with food, we have avoided becoming a posh restaurant. Pop in for a drink, a snack or a delicious meal – all of our food is fresh and made on site.

Come and see for yourself…

A woodland walk

We are just a short walk from Church Crookham and surrounded by woodland. We are also dog friendly, so we’re the perfect place to stop after your walk!

Dating back to the 1800s

The Foresters was built in the 1800s, as one might expect from its name. Originally one of 3 Inns in the area built to look after the captains of the horse drawn barges that used the Basingstoke canal where they would come in their ‘knee breeches and buckled shoes to slake their thirst and swap a yarn at the bar’.

Pub garden

Our well nurtured & award-winning garden to the rear whisks you away to the ‘middle of nowhere’. It has more space for customers than the pub, making it particularly popular in the summer.

Hanging basket fire

In the winter the raised ‘hanging basket’ log fire is a spectacular centre feature – right in the middle of the restaurant.

Everyone is welcome

We frequently welcome guests from the International businesses located around Farnborough Airport, as well as walkers & cyclists enjoying the woodland that surrounds us.

Us & the Area

Land in the area has been used to film James Bond’s Die Another Day!
A short distance away is the Tweseldown race course, which, back in 1948 was used in the Olympics for the eventing steeple chase
Church Crookham was the location of the only commercially successful tobacco plantation in the UK where they produced cigarettes and pipe tobacco until 1938
The Foresters was a music led pub in the woods in 90s but replaced music with food in 00s when it was bought by the Gerard Family.
The Fast & Furious and the Jurassic World franchises have used nearby Farnborough Airport for filming!
